Call for Submissions

The Emy Frentz Art Guild is looking for animal lovers to create artwork for the 1st Annual "Paws"itively Artful Juried Exhibition benefiting BENCHS! Fine artwork will be juried in April (entry info to come), and prizes will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, and Honorable Mention winners. Then join us on Friday, May 1st for the opening reception.

Paws-itively Artful is an invitational and juried fine art exhibition focusing on the
theme of pets and the role they play in our lives. Proceeds from all entry fees will
benefits the Blue Earth/Nicollet County Humane Society. Artists’ proceeds from
sales may also be donated to BENCHS if the artist so desires. Both two- and
three-dimensional works are eligible, and any style of art is welcome, as long as
the piece is a work of fine art (no selfies with pets, please!).


Entry Specifications:
 Each artist may submit a maximum of 3 pieces of original artwork.   
 All works must be ready for presentation. Two-dimensional work must be ready to hang with screw eyes and wire or sawtooth hangers (when appropriate. Work that is not hang-ready will not be displayed in the exhibition.
Weight limit is 25 lbs. per piece.
Identification labels must be attached to the upper right corner on the back of all 2-D accepted works, and the bottom of all 3-D accepted works.
All artwork sales will be split with 70% going to the artist, and 30% going to the Emy Frentz Arts Guild. If you would like to donate a portion of your 70% to BENCHS, please indicate the amount on your entry form.

If you do not wish to sell your artwork please indicate that in your submission email to Amanda.
